You are welcome to use our free, camera-monitored parking lot located in the quiet garden right behind the hotel building. (Please note that the public municipal parking lot in front of the hotel is subject to a city fee).

Park comfortably in the hotel garden, walk through the courtyard, and enter the charming, traditional restaurant of ***Hotel Šumava. Here, we serve excellent specialties from both Czech and international cuisine, prepared by our talented chefs using only the highest quality, fresh ingredients.

Keepers of Tradition, if you love classic comfort food, you won’t be able to resist our ROAST DUCK, served with traditional red cabbage and a variation of Czech dumplings. Our rich BEEF BROTH, slow-simmered from marrow bones and served with homemade sliced pancake strips, is guaranteed to re-energize you after a long day.

For a lighter option, we offer fresh, perfectly prepared TROUT or crisp, tender LEAF SALADS. However, we suggest forgetting the calorie count when it comes to our hearty and immensely popular ŠUMAVA KULAJDA—a traditional potato and mushroom soup with dill and a poached egg.

You should also try our SOUTH BOHEMIAN “RARÁŠCI” (crispy, beer-battered chicken bites), a beloved regional favorite.

The Crown Jewels of our menu are the famous ŠUMAVA SCHNITZELS, served with homemade potato salad. For couples or groups with a hearty appetite, we highly recommend ordering our generous SCHNITZEL PLATTER or the rich, multi-meat MIXED GRILL.

Excellent beer is an essential part of the Czech culinary experience. We pour perfectly chilled BUDWEISER BUDVAR ORIGINAL, delivered to us by the proud keepers of our national brewing tradition.

If you prefer wine, our dishes pair beautifully with fine wines carefully selected directly from the cellars of award-winning winemakers.

Another unique specialty of ours is our ŠUMAVA HOMEMADE LEMONADES. We craft the syrups ourselves using time-tested recipes and all-natural ingredients. They offer the perfect refreshing escape in the summer heat, and double as a cozy, warming drink during the winter!
